Year 2 had a brilliant time with the rest of the school at the Tour de Yorkshire last Friday. Despite the rainy weather, the children were in great spirits as they walked down to watch the race, and made a huge amount of noise for every bike, car and dog that came past whilst they were waiting for the main event! It was brilliant to watch the world class cyclists coming past and I am sure it will be a huge inspiration for the children to get out on their own bikes. We have talked in class about the importance of staying safe on a bike, in particular by wearing a helmet at all times!
