Year 3's Holy Communion Mass

Guests travelled from far and wide to join in the celebrations of the Year 3 pupils making their First Holy Communion on Saturday. It was lovely to see so many friends and family members supporting the children on  their Holy day, when they reinforced their special relationship with God, by receiving Jesus' Body and Blood for the first time. The mass was concelebrated by Canon Tim and Fr Sean and the Year 3 children who looked immaculate in their outfits, participated with great reverence in the readings and the offertory procession. As always, the spiritually uplifting music and singing of the choir enriched the celebrations of the day. Thank you to Canon Tim, Fr Sean, the altar servers and choir who gave up their time in service to the Lord. Afterwards, the children enjoyed celebrating together during their First Holy Communion breakfast and really appreciated all the hard work of the volunteers who organised this.  On Wednesday, the  whole of Year 3 will share together a Post Holy Communion  celebration mass, in which they will be presented with their certificates of 'First Holy Communion'.
