This morning our Year 1 pupils were extremely excited to deliver their class assembly. They all had learnt their lines off by heart and perfected their beautiful singing and dance movements. We heard about their fantastic day out to Yorkshire Wildlife park and the pupils shared their lovely paintings, drawings and animal masks with the rest of the school. Role play of the bible story, 'Noah and the Ark', linked together Year 1's RE work with their topic of 'Animals'. Well done Year 1, what a super start to the year! Many thanks to all the parents and relatives who came to support and spent time with their children in the classroom setting; enjoying having a go at all the interactive maths activities offered, the children and staff really did appreciate it.
