What a fantastic assembly by our Reception class, they may be the youngest children in school but today they highlighted how confident and capable they are! They shared with us their knowledge of number, through song and role play and their understanding of Jesus' parable of the 'Lost Sheep'. We were reminded of St. Paul's growth mindset characters and how each day we should strive to use these traits to achieve our best and be the best person we can be, following in Jesus' footsteps. The children also spoke about the importance of Lenten observances; fasting, almsgiving, praying and forgiving and really focused our attention on the Passion of Christ, leading up to Easter, by portraying through role play a selection of the Stations of the Cross.
Well done to Reception on a wonderful, successful class assembly, the first of many to come! Thank you to all family and friends who came to support.
