St. Paul's have had a fantastic week, packed full of fun activities and interesting, interactive healthy learning. Year 2 and Year 6 have been busy learning how to prepare healthy snacks; yummy fruit kebabs and roasted stuffed peppers. They also found it very interesting analysing the sugar content in drinks, with surprising results! During the week, pupils from Year 6 have had the opportunity to take part in a one day cycling course - 'Bikeability', which allows them to gain valuable knowledge and experience of bike maintenance and road safety. Key stage 1 children thoroughly enjoyed their Irish dancing sessions with Helen Rowland, ably assisted by one of our very own St. Paul's pupil. On Thursday the colossal climbing wall proved to be a great challenge enjoyed by all, alongside an afternoon of fun and games outside in the clean fresh air, organised and promoted by the team from Clean Air Day (CAD). Skipping with Jodie, Cricket with Mr Pratt, visits to David Lloyd and Alwoodley Tennis Club and D: side workshops about healthy life choices the pupils of St. Paul's have had a non-stop week of action! A huge thank you to all the individuals, staff and organisations who have made this a super enjoyable active week.
