First Holy Communion
What a beautiful morning for our first group of Y3 children to make their First Holy Communion. Each one of them entered into their special relationship with God as they received the Body and Blood of Christ for the first time. The children looked radiant in their Holy Communion outfits and led the readings and bidding prayers with great reverence for this Holy and special day. Afterwards a banquet feast awaited them, allowing the children to continue the celebration with their peer group. Special thanks to Canon Tim and Father Sean for celebrating mass, to the catechists who helped prepare the children for the sacrament of Holy Communion, to Mrs McGurk and the choir for providing the music and to all the parents who contributed to the beautiful altar displays and catering for the day. Thank you to all family and friends who have supported the children throughout their sacramental journey and joined in the celebration of the day. The smiles of pride and jubilation on the children's faces showed just how much they really do appreciate it.
