British Science Week has seen some extremely interesting science lessons taking place throughout the school. Year 5's Science topic of 'Materials' has been delivered using many cross curricular links; the pupils used their ICT skills and geography knowledge to survey beaches across the world, using drone technology, where plastics are contaminating the beaches. The pupils have been busy carrying out an experiment to make plastic from milk!
Whilst Year 2 have been looking into the growth of mould, in their 'Mouldy bread experiment'. Investigating the effects of clean and dirty hands touching slices of bread, we await the results!
In timely fashion, Year 1 welcomed their new arrivals into class on Wednesday, with the newly hatched chicks making an appearance for Science Week! Year 1 pupils will continue their science work, learning about life cycles of different animals.
