It's good to be me!

Today we are having a SEAL (Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning) Day in school and our theme is It's Good to be Me.

We have enjoyed an assembly with Miss McIntyre talking about being proud of who we are and celebrating our similarities and differences.

In class, we have talked about our feelings and have encouraged the children to name their feelings. We have also written about all the things we love about our lives and the things that make us proud.

One of our objectives was to know how to relax our bodies and minds and to be able to describe ways in which we can relax. We did some yoga and meditation and the children (and teachers) really enjoyed this quiet time.
