‘Geography underpins a lifelong “conversation” about the earth as the home of humankind.’
At St Paul's we enjoy doing geographical work. From learning about the weather in Year 1 and understanding hot and cold areas of the world in Year 2, through to work on settlements and learning about places in Europe in Year 3 and 4, to looking at time zones in Year 5 and the distribution of natural resources in Year 6, the national curriculum is very well covered in each Key Stage. There is the opportunity for fieldwork, with regular visit to local woods, and of course Year 6's trip to Buckden. Geography is taught in a fun and exciting manner to make it interesting to the pupils, and is linked in to other subjects in topic lessons.
