Holy Door Visit
In this, the Year of Mercy, Year 6 went through the Diocesan Holy Door at St.Anne's Cathedral, attended Mass and had a very informative guided tour of the Cathedral, many thanks to Robert for his fact filled talk.
Year 6 Fitness Fun Continues...
Holt Park fitness instructors put the children through their paces and the "Bikeability" course continued to develop both the children's riding skills and road safety awareness.

Make a Noise: Anti-bullying Raps
Following Mrs.Mercer's assembly about bullying and the national "Make a Noise" campaign, Year 6 read and analysed a number of thought provoking poems written by children of all ages about bullying from the different perspectives of the bullied, the bully and the bystander. They then went on to write their own short raps which also covered different perspectives, these will be put together as a whole class "Year 6 Make a Noise" rap.
If the World Were a Village...
This fantastic book inspired Year 6's mathematical learning, helping to create a truly cross curricular theme to their number investgations.
