Welcome to Year 4
The children have returned to school full of enthusiasm after the holidays. They have settled well into Year 4 and have had a very positive attitude to everything we have done. We look forward to all our learning opportunities this year and will try to share our experiences with you on this page. Mrs Twohey and Mrs McGurk
We braved the cold to launch our new topic and find out as much as possible about the life of a Roman soldier. Our visit to Murton Park was very interesting and enjoyable. We learnt so much.
We completed our topic by creating our own dream catchers.
Year 4 have been lucky enough to have visits from both our priests. Fr Josh popped in after celebrating our class Mass and Fr Tim came to answer some of our questions on the bible.
The weather was fabulous for our outdoor activities. We started the day with problem solving and team building challenges. We had to work together and be resilient and persever in order for us to achieve. After lunch we did Orienteering, that was great fun. Den building was our last challenge. We all worked together constructing different designed shelters.
Year 4 enjoyed PE this morning with Dan our sports coach.
Confer competition winner.
The KSs2 conker competition winner with the winning entry.
We thoroughly enjoyed presenting our assembly on Thursday. Our focus was on friendship and we thought about the qualities we value in a friend. We know we are much happier when we have friends to share things with.
We have worked together to produce a gymnastic routine based on our topic Road Trip USA.
Working together to solve problems.
We had an exciting start to our week as we attended Rewyind to Christmas at The Moortown Baptist Church. We heard the true story of Christmas and talked to some of the characters who were there.
We have spent the day. Thinking about the importance of Advent and making some Advent preparations.
