This half term Year 5 have been learning about different materials and their properties in science. They have also been finding out about reversible and irreversible changes. They were set a very difficult challenge this afternoon - to turn a disgusting, mud and twig filled cup of water into something drinkable (or as close as they could get it!). Using a variety of different techniques, including sieving, funnelling and filtering, the children managed to do a great job of 'purifying' their water - although none of them were good enough to drink!!!
