Year 6 Assembly

On Thursday morning our Year 6 pupils delivered a very interesting assembly based around the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul to Christianity. The students confidently performed a role play, news reporters interviewing St. Paul and one of his friends, telling the audience all about St. Paul's conversion and the letters he wrote, spreading the message of Jesus; the gifts of Faith, Hope and Love with the greatest of these being Love. Recently,  Year 6 have been studying about Islam, they explained all about the Five Pillars of Islam, highlighting the similarities with the Roman Catholic faith and shared with us their research into famous and often inspirational Muslim figures. Being the 25th January,  Year 6 aptly celebrated Burn's Night, telling us about Robert Burns; celebrating his life and his poetry. Miss McIntrye's class were treated afterwards to Haggis and Irn-Bru! A wonderful, interesting assembly, well done Year 6 and many thanks to all who came to support.
