Y3's End of Year Assembly
This morning Year 3 delivered a fantastic, all singing, all dancing class assembly. They summarised the whole of their academic school year, sharing amazing learning experiences and showcasing their super talents to the rest of the school. Miss Sellers encouraged the children to take the lead on the development of the assembly, selecting which songs they wanted to sing, creating their own Rock song to Jesus and writing some of their own lines. Year 3 have been following the Cornerstones Curriculum and we heard all about the interesting topics they have studied which have incorporated themed days such as Caveman Day and trips out. The children enjoyed sharing with us the class books they have read this year, stepping into the books and becoming some of the characters, including Anne Shirley and Stig of the dump! Four brilliant gymnasts performed a short piece from their gymnastics competition routine. The assembly was a really good snap shot of what Year 3 have been up to this year, what extremely busy learners they have been! Well done to Year 3, you should all be very proud of yourselves, Miss Sellers is! Thank you to all family and friends that came to support their children.
