Rewind to Easter

Year 5 pupils were invited along, with other local schools to an event hosted by Moortown Baptist church entitled 'Rewind to Easter'. Our pupils spent the morning remembering each stage of the Easter story which was depicted through role play; starting with Jesus' entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, The Last Supper, The Garden of Gethsemane, Peter's denial of Jesus, Pontius Pilate condemns Jesus to death, The Crucifixion and Death of Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Resurrection on Easter Sunday. The pupils then planted nasturtium seeds, representing the beginning of new life in Spring and at Eastertide. An enjoyable spiritual morning was had by all  and the children were encouraged to continue thinking  about the message that 'God loved the world so much that he gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in him may not be lost but may have eternal life'. Many thanks to the team of staff from Moortown Baptist church.
