Healthy Week so far....

A great start to healthy week, 'wake-up - shake-up' made sure everybody was warmed up and ready for a full day of activity. The children experienced judo, fitness, street dance and zumba sessions, alongside our daily mile and class bike sessions. Guest speakers from the NSPCC were invited into school to deliver a special 'Speak Out, Stay Safe' assembly, highlighting the importance of physical and mental health. Many thanks to one of our parents, Dr Pravinata, a research fellow from the University of Leeds, for giving up her free time delivering a very informative workshop to Year 5 pupils all about healthy food choices; raising awareness of sugar content in different types of food.  Pupils and staff are already having a fantastic time, learning about health and fitness whilst enjoying many new activities and there are many more to come over the course of the week! St. Paul's would like to thank all those involved in helping the children appreciate the importance of health; Dan from British Judo, dance staff from Elevations, Sasha the Zumba instructor, the NSPCC and staff from Holt Park Leisure Centre.
