Cricket in the Classroom
Year 5's visit to Headingley's Yorkshire County Cricket ground, started with a fast and intensive cricket skills session, which the children thoroughly enjoyed. Bodies and brains switched on and ready to learn, the class then completed some quite challenging mathematical questions; analyzing statistical cricket data. The 'cricket in the classroom' also incorporated elements of literacy and geography in an interesting and fun way. A guided tour of the club's impressive museum, media suite, home team changing facilities and pitch side, left the class very awestruck. The pupils had a fantastic time, many thanks to Yorkshire County Cricket for organising this interactive school activity.
