Living Eggs

27/2/17 - the Living Eggs arrived this morning! All the children in Year 1 have been so excited today and are looking forward to some chicks arriving later this week - hopefully on Wednesday and Thursday! Stay posted!

28/2/17 - we have a crack! If you look very closely at the middle egg in the picture below, you may just be able to make out the first crack on our eggs. Hopefully we will have a little guest waiting for us when we come in in the morning...

1/3/17 - there are 2 beautiful new arrivals in Year 1 this morning! We came into school to find that 2 of our eggs had hatched overnight. We are sure that the children will be coming up with some names for them today!

1/3/17 - the children have named our first two chicks 'Pancake' and 'Fluffy' - but since then we have had 3 new arrivals (including one as this was being written!)! We are sure the children will come up with some lovely names for them tomorrow. Have a look at the first 4 chicks in the video below!

2/3/17 - we came into school this morning to be greeted by 5 new chicks! This means we now have 10 gorgeous little chicks in our incubator. We will be moving some of them into their new home later today. There are still 2 eggs left to hatch - we hope they come out to say hello today!

3/3/17 - have a look at our lovely chicks today! Unfortunately one of them is not very well and has been whisked away for emergency medical assistance, but the other nine are all having a lovely time in their brooding box!

6/3/17 - our chicks look like they have had a lovely weekend staying with Sam and Elkie, with other children from Year 1 visiting them too! We look forward to hearing about what they got up to when the children come in. Thank you for looking after them for us so well!

7/3/17 - our chicks are getting out and about in Year 1! The children have been very carefully letting the chicks wander around the floor in the middle of a circle. It has all been very exciting!
